Joel Faxon, Partner
Joel, a Leaders Forum Charter Member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and co-founder of Stratton Faxon Law Firm, handles catastrophic personal injury and death cases, professional malpractice, birth trauma, commercial truck crashes, aviation disasters, and bad faith insurance litigation. Highlights of Joel’s practice include $44 million in lifetime benefits obtained against a Connecticut hospital for a birth trauma case resulting in a child's permanent cerebral palsy. He has lectured before the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and is the contributing author of Truck Accident Litigation, Second Edition, published by the American Bar Association in 2006. Joel was also recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Personal Injury Litigation.
In 2005, Joel made Connecticut history by obtaining the
largest settlement ever in a sexual abuse case involving
a parish priest. He has handled several important trials
in State and Federal Court in Connecticut and Vermont, as
well as appeals in the Connecticut Supreme Court and U.S.
Circuit Courts of Appeal, that have served to protect victims’ rights
and preserve the right to trial by jury.
